Grandma Inaba (Obaasan) came for a surprise visit this week, and Ren got in some good playtime. Here the happy pair are enjoying the play mat K got as a gift from the baby shower.

Just last night I asked her, can you really believe that this little guy was growing in your belly for almost a year? Hard to believe.

Ren and I were taking a bath together at the time. Then he pooped on me. This kind of spoiled the mood. Then he starts screaming. All I could think of was "Hey man, who pooped on whom here?"



But then after hard work playing and going for walks you get tired...

Holly一家と一緒にお花見にいってきました。
我が家のミツバチ漣くんは、お花の上を飛び回るというより、お花の中でお昼寝三昧。
初めての本格的な外出でままくんも準備がいまいち〜、次回はもうちょっと上手に、ね！

It's hard to imagine how much happiness that first little smile brings.

This morning March 27 2009, the little dude gave dad a smile. Mr. Tickle Monster had just made his daily appearance and little Ren gave a smile.

No it happened too fast for a picture, and it did not come back, so you'll have to enjoy this nice frownie picture I took instead.

Notice the "arm above head" which means "I'm trying to sleep!"
